Bodiology Sussex Regional Press Feature

Pink Blush website hero. with three girls showing of their treatments

Bodiology Sussex is one of Eastbourne's most established beauty and wellness salons, on South Street in the centre of town. Owner Darice has built it on a loyal local client base and a real reputation for making women feel confident and supported.

The challenge

Bodiology had grown through word of mouth and its own channels. That works, but it has a ceiling. Beyond the people who already knew the salon sat a much wider community of local women who had never heard of it.

Paid ads can put a business in front of new people. They cannot make those people trust it. Editorial coverage can. When a local publication chooses to feature a business, that choice carries weight an advert never will. The job was to earn that coverage, not buy attention.

What we did

We found the story worth telling

Bodiology is not just a salon. Darice runs it as a place where women build careers and confidence, with mentoring for staff going through a hard time and a workplace built on collaboration rather than competition. That is a human interest story, and it is the kind of thing local press runs. A treatment menu is not.

We wrote it as editorial, not an advert

We developed a feature built around three themes:

  • Women's wellbeing and confidence.

  • The salon's role in supporting its team and its clients.

  • A community angle that suits a regional readership.

It was written for a local audience and written to read as genuine editorial, which is what gets a piece accepted and published rather than quietly ignored.

We placed it with the right outlet

We submitted it to Eastbourne News, a local digital news platform with an engaged readership across the town and the surrounding area. The piece was accepted and published in full on 19 April 2026, under the headline "Eastbourne Salon helping local women thrive together", positioned alongside genuine community news rather than in an advertising slot.

The result

One campaign delivered four things that keep working:

  • Regional press coverage in front of a new local audience.

  • A credible third party endorsement, the kind a paid placement cannot buy.

  • A backlink from an authoritative local news domain, which supports Bodiology's local SEO.

  • A reusable asset the salon shares across social media and uses in ongoing marketing.

Editorial placed in the right context earns trust that advertising cannot, and it keeps doing its job long after publication.
